This beautiful spalted beech bowl makes for a highly decorative item. It could be used as a fruit or salad bowl. Spalting is a natural process that occurs when wood is stored in wet conditions. Nature gets to work and produces some fantastic features. It is highly prized by woodworkers and collectors. This piece came from a branch that fell in our garden.
