This little box is made of embothrium otherwise known as Chilean flame tree. This is a highly unusual material for box making but it makes for a really nice finish. The interior is finished with milk paint. Milk paint has been used for thousands of years. It is extremely durable, often lasting for hundreds of years if protected from the elements. It is made of all-natural ingredients, and is very safe and non-toxic once applied.
